In 1998, Patricia joined the law firm of Palermo, Barbaro, Chinen & Pitzer, LLC, with roots in Pasadena reaching back to 1891. In August 2005, Patricia took and passed the California Board of Legal Specialization’s examination in Family Law and is currently awaiting her certification as a Family Law Specialist.
:: PRACTICE SPECIALTIES ::
Patricia practices entirely in the area of family law. She works with her clients to resolve their divorce, paternity and family conflicts through negotiation, mediation and the exciting new process of collaborative family law. Using these models, Patricia concentrates on finding ways for her clients to resolve their conflicts without court intervention. This allows parties to use precious financial resources for the benefit of the family rather than for payment of unnecessary litigation costs and attorney fees. Patricia is particularly excited about the collaborative process because it empowers couples to work together to make mutually satisfying decisions about important issues that will affect the family for many years to come.
:: MEMBERSHIPS & HONORS ::
Patricia is a member of the California State Bar Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association, Pasadena Bar Association and the Los Angeles Collaborative Family Law Association. Patricia also serves as a volunteer attorney for the Los Angeles County Barristers Domestic Violence Project.
