PATRICIA RIGDON ESQ., Attorney

:: EDUCATION ::

Patricia Rigdon obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from Occidental College and her law degree from Southwestern University School of Law. In 1998, Patricia joined the law firm of Palermo, Barbaro, Chinen & Pitzer, LLC, with roots in Pasadena reaching back to 1891. Patricia is Certified Family Law Specialist and has advanced training in the areas of collaborative law, mediation and negotiation skills.

:: PRACTICE SPECIALTIES ::

Patricia practices entirely in the area of family law. She works with her clients to resolve their divorce, paternity and family conflicts through negotiation, mediation and the exciting new process of collaborative family law. Using these models, Patricia concentrates on finding ways for her clients to resolve their conflicts without court intervention. This allows parties to use precious financial resources for the benefit of the family rather than for payment of unnecessary litigation costs and attorney fees. Patricia is particularly excited about the collaborative process because it empowers couples to work together to make mutually satisfying decisions about important issues that will affect the family for many years to come.

:: MEMBERSHIPS & HONORS ::

Patricia is a member of the State Bar of California (Member Family Law and ADR Sections), Los Angeles County Bar Association (Member Family Law and ADR Sections), Pasadena Bar Association (Member Family Law Section), Association of Certified Family Law Specialists ( Board of Directors 2008 to the present: Secretary 2009 & 2011, Co-Chair Spring Seminar 2010), and the Los Angeles Collaborative Family Law Association (Board of Directors, 2006-2008). Patricia also serves as a volunteer attorney for the Los Angeles County Barristers Domestic Violence Project (Volunteer Attorney) and is on the Pasadena Superior Court Family Law Mediation Panel (Volunteer Attorney).
