I have practiced in all areas of family law in the Glendale area since 1981.  I have been appointed by the court to represent children in high conflict divorce cases for the last 15 plus years.  I have also been a volunteer mediator for the courts, and a volunteer in the Los Angeles Barristers Domestic Violence program.  After witnessing the toll of litigation on families, and particularly on children, I now emphasize mediation, collaborative law, and settlement in divorce cases.  While I still do some litigation, I am trying to phase out this part of the practice, as I have come to view it as harmful to all involved.  I try to assist individuals going through divorce in ways that are supportive to the continuing family structure.   I believe that couples can divorce with respect and mutual consideration, looking for creative solutions that serve the interests of the entire family.
